WWE Main Event kicks off with the featured match of the night as, fresh off of their victory over Big Show, Sheamus, & Randy Orton at WrestleMania, The Shield would face the team of Kofi Kingston & Tons of Funk, Brodus Clay & Tensai, in a 6-Man Tag Match. In the end, it was Seth Rollins coming off of the top rope with a knee to the skull of Kofi Kingston and, after Roman Reigns takes out Brodus Clay with a Spear, Rollins pins Kofi to pick up the win for The Shield. The Shield was not satisfied with just winning, however, as Roman Reigns tosses Kofi Kingston into the ringside barricade on the outside before the trio pummel Brodus Clay in the corner. Tensai then gets involved and the three-on-one advantage overwhelms “Sweet T” as The Shield drops the super heavyweight with the three-man powerbomb! Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins, & Roman Reigns then follow that up with a three-man powerbomb to Brodus Clay, as well!

Two nights after finally cashing in the Money-in-the-Bank contract on RAW to become the new World Heavyweight Champion, Dolph Ziggler was scheduled for an interview on Main Event. However, Big E. Langston shows up instead, saying that the new champion is too busy doing media, eating steak dinners, and preparing to “take over the world”, saying that Matt Striker should interview him instead. Langston says that he remembers “losing”, but he remembers winning on RAW and enjoying Ziggler’s cash-in later that same night.

After emerging successful in his in-ring RAW debut, Big E. Langston would make his in-ring Main Event debut as the former power-lifting champion went one-on-one with Zack Ryder. Big E. Langston would dominate Zack Ryder, rocking Ryder with the Big Ending en route to picking up his second win of the week.

Before Jack Swagger was in action, “The Founding Father” Zeb Colter says that they are in Boston, the home of the Boston Tea Party and Bunker Hill, asking the residents of Boston if they consider themselves “real Americans”. Colter then asks that, if they are real Americans, then why do they play the Canadian sport of hockey, saying that hockey is not American. Zeb then says that the only claim to fame that Boston has is the Boston Tea Party and Paul Revere, calling Revere a “turncoat”. After Swagger’s opponent, Yoshi Tatsu, comes out, Colter slowly asks where Tatsu is from and Tatsu answers, “Japan”. Zeb then says that Tatsu had “rice and fish heads” for dinner, asking Tatsu what the deal is with chopsticks, saying that he is not trying to “offend” Tatsu before offering Tatsu a handshake. Yoshi hesitantly shakes the hand of Colter before bowing to Tatsu, inviting Yoshi to do the same, but when Tatsu does so, Swagger kicks Tatsu in the chest!

After twice tapping out to the cross armbreaker of Alberto Del Rio, both at WrestleMania and on RAW, Jack Swagger was in action on Main Event as “The Real American”, with Zeb Colter in his corner, went one-on-one with Yoshi Tatsu. In the end, it was Jack Swagger locking in the Patriot Lock on Yoshi Tatsu, forcing Tatsu to tap out to pick up the win.
